>HOW THE FORUM OPERATES
There are 3 meetings a year, each of one-day duration, held at the Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon.
Meetings start at 09.30 and run through to 15.30, with breaks. Refreshments and lunch are provided. There is an optional group dinner at the hotel the preceding evening.
Challenging and instructive agendas
The Forums are designed for members by members – they decide on the topics and the expert speakers they would like to hear. This ensures every session is relevant and covers key areas of common interest.
Sessions are delivered through workshops and discussions rather than lecture-style presentations.
We source and invite subject matter experts in order to ensure that content is of the highest standard.
SAMPLE AGENDA ITEMS FROM THE LAST 12 MONTHS:
Sector & Insolvency Updates - Both regular features, providing and analysing recent statistics and examining topical issues of interest;
View from a Quantity Surveyor - A main contractor’s view of why sub-contractor payments are withheld, and the most common non-compliance/ contractual/site issues that arise;
e-Applications & e-Signatures - Sharing information on the practices members use for setting up accounts and contracts online, examining the pros and cons.
Membership is open to senior finance and credit professionals from the major national and regional suppliers of construction materials, subject to approval by the current members and our standard membership terms and conditions.
Prospective members are invited to attend their first meeting free of charge and without obligation, to assess the benefits of membership for themselves. Thereafter the annual membership fee is £660 and covers all administration and meeting costs. Members are responsible for their own hotel, accommodation and travel costs.
